How does your game fit the theme?
The theme of Scale courses through the veins of this game. The main mechanic is breaking down large boxes to make smaller ones, you're exploring a massive factory as a tiny robot, blocks get bigger the further you go, and the dialogue implies a grander narrative than you can see in game.

Stairs the game! Haha jk very fun game I sunk a good chunk of time playing it! Puzzles were challenging but not too difficult and fun. The difficulty progression felt just right as well I never felt like one puzzle was a sudden jump in difficulty.
Not so much a critique but a suggestion for a similar future game, it would be cool to collect hammers and switch between editing and playing the level somehow! Would add a bit more variety and possibly add more interesting puzzles!
Thought about having the edit mode be more dynamic rather than a full commitment to it being on or off, didn't quite mesh for what I was going for with this but if I expand the game I might do something like that. Thank you!
Very cool game. enjoyed it a lot. fits the theme very well. very good pixel art. amazing!
Thank you!
Looks cute, and I like how you used the mechanics to make approachable levels.
Thank you!
A really nice computer-styled puzzle platformer.Contains really nice art and mechanics along with the concept + story of the game.Surely one of the best in it's categories.
Keep it up
Be sure to check mine:):)
As someone who made a game with (kind of) a similar interpretation, I really dug this. The aesthetics were excellent as well.
Thanks!
I liked the story and cinematic aspect of the game.
I got stuck on the level with 2 cubes and didn't know how to get past it.
But so far good game.
Try replaying not in fullscreen, changing screen size can break it unfortunately
I will try it.
It worked somehow, game is nice, love the puzzles where there are 2 blocks that block each other so you have to choose wisely to destroy the right one.
Thank you!
Nice puzzle game with a good plateformer character controller, my only issue was the order you learn stuff, maybe learn to move your character then open boxes and play with it, i locked my character when i opened the crate and i didn't know i needed to use it ahah, apart from that good game !
Loved the puzzle mechanics and the level design is also great ! You can check mine game also ! Cheers
great game, the puzzle mechanics and levels were so well made •⩊•
Thank you!!
the game is super polished and the gameplay looks clean and matches theme theme very well and the level was also well designed
Thank you!
I was initially already impressed by the the amount of levels and settings you have as a solo dev, well done!
The graphics are super cute and fit very well. I like the tension of the music, although I missed some sound effects for B-0, would be neat to have him beeping and buzzing.
Some minor situations I found playing (that could be reverted by simply restarting the stage anyway):
Overall an incredibly polished game with some clever puzzles, congratulations on such an amazing entry!
If you lock yourself in a corner as B-0, you could just press return to editor to put him back at the starting position and try again, since the reset button puts all the blocks back
Also yeah I also wanted more sound effects for him, just didn't find any more robot sounds that i liked aside from the startup one
The tutorial text thing is just cause I forgot to reset the counters it relies on if you press main menu, though it does if you press reset game data. Oops!
Thank you for playing!
Hey, fellow "bot using blocks to get to the goal" game developer!
I finally tried out your game, and I enjoyed it very much! I'll finish it another day, but despite not getting to the end I loved everything you worked on!
Since the game is already great, I can only nit-pick and suggest you to make the pixel art consistent (background-foreground), and to make collisions more consistent/obvious. Without an obviously small gap, it feels weird to see perfectly-shaped blocks can't go through perfectly-shaped holes.
Anyway, that didn't ruin the fun for me. It's a wonderful game, congrats! :)
For the first thing it's mostly just the background which is hard to get right at scale in godot with parallax, and the rest of it (namely the text) is completely intentional lol
And yeah, I've already implemented a little lip on the top of entrances to make that bit clearer, just can't update yet. Thank you!!
Perfect! Your game is in my collection waiting to be finished, I'll play it once you update it!
Once again, great job! You already got a perfect rating from me :)
Thank you so much!!
Woah! I love the art here, I really love robots and the little player guy is very cute and well made. The levels almost remind me of 2d Portal. Amazing job on the art and great game!
Thank you so much! It's strange that portal never occurred to me as an inspiration, but I grew up with it and several people have mentioned it so it was probably entirely subconscious LOL
Really cool game! The art and lighting in this game was well done. I felt as if moving the blocks was a bit buggy but other than that good job!
Yea, I spent the last 6 hours trying to fix em but to no avail sadly. Thanks for playing!
There's some pretty cool puzzles here, and a lot of polish! Unfortunately I got a bit stuck when I think the breaking for one of the blocks stopped working. Other than that, great job!
If you mean it not letting you pick it up, I believe that's only an issue in full screen! Or if it just didn't break when you had a hammer left, then uh, woops!
thank you!
cleverly designed game! the level design went crazy in this game and there's a lot of polish that made this feel like a full-fledged game. the planning mode and the playing mode were both really enjoyable, and i liked how they kind had to blend together in order to complete the level. nice work!
Thank you!!
Really fun game! Everything about it was so well made too!
thanks!
This was amazing!! Really brilliantly designed! I was having trouble in the beginning, but it turns out it was because playing the game in fullscreen was affecting my ability to pick up blocks, and that led me to believe there was a game mechanic I wasn't understanding. Getting past that, I fell in love right away!
The visuals are fantastic, and gave me huge Portal vibes in the most wonderful way. I enjoyed the banter between the employee and his boss to set the stage as well. The puzzles themselves never felt too easy or too hard, and I really enjoyed each moment that the gears clicked in my head and each solution eventually revealed itself.
Besides the weird fullscreen (and browser?) issues with the controls, I also had trouble scrolling left with anything besides hovering over the left scroll button on screen. Not a big deal really, but worth a callout. It didn't detract much from my enjoyment, however. I played to that bittersweet ending, and got a laugh out of that last chat interaction.
Incredible work overall, and props to putting such a good spin on the theme. This is easily one of my top favorites from this jam!
Thank you!! And yeah with all its issues I'm very much considering outright removing the browser version lol, the fullscreen issue only happens there and it's quite laggy and I have zero idea why either of these things happen, godot exporting to browser in forward+ might just not work very well.
That aside, I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you for playing!
To clarify, this was the downloaded Windows version in fullscreen, not in browser. Hopefully that helps you find out what's causing it a little easier. Great work once more!
Huh, I've never had that issue with the download. I'll look into it more, it's probably something to do with how I'm calling the mouse position. Thank you!
first one implemented the idea of split things in the submissions i've played, not bad i'll say, but sometimes i can not pick up some boxes, is that intentional?
usually if you can't pick em up it's just the browser Version being weird, this doesn't happen if it just slightly affected everything.
Sorry I wrote this in a very sleepy state, I think i meant "doesn't happen when fullscreened" but my brain did not want to put words together LOL
very enjoyable puzzler! sometimes the blocks not being able to fit gaps was a bit weird, but overall it was still very fun to figure out how to solve each level,, very polished too!
Blocks not being able to fit was intentional with puzzles designed around it, though I probably should've indicated that by adding a lip to the gaps to show that more clearly. Thanks for playing!
