Game Description
n Winter Garden, players can create a garden however they want, with trees, bushes, mushrooms, animals, and decorations. However, don't forget to remove the snow, or your plants won't bear fruit!
How does your game tie into the theme?
Snow and freezing are the main antagonists in this cozy and relaxing game. The player has to remove the piles of snow that prevent their plants from bearing fruit.

I love the art in your game, it has its own personality and fits the gameplay very well.
For a relaxing game it's perfect, the audio is very well done, as is the art as I mentioned before. All the elements relate very well, and the level of polish is great!
Personally, I don't usually play many relaxing games, or ones that don't have very clear objectives or challenges. But still, I think it's an excellent idea for a casual game.
Congratulations and great work! :D
The game in itself is very charming, relaxing and creative. Controls and UI are intuitive, the mechanics are well explained. The snow and blizzard mechanic kind of throw me off, since for me it feels counterintuitive to how relaxing the game comes across. Other than that, solid experience!
Superb presentations as always. Really nicely scoped chill builder.
I think the only thing I'd change it maybe giving quicker access to the shovel/magnet via mouse scroll up/down but maybe the game doesn't need that kind of speed associated with it.
I tried adding an image but itch is crapping its pants it seems... I played well after the end of the demo and filled the level with everything I could to stress my browser a bit haha :).
Thank you for the kind review, Garrit!
I agree with the points you mentioned, some adjustments on the shovel tool are required for a further update
Lovely little game with some beautiful art and creativity for self expression.
The one thing that would be nice though is if the icon for the snow always floated to the top of the other icons, so that I don't accidentally remove my plants when trying to remove snow (either that or have completely separate tools for snow removal and plant/animal removal).
the artistic side of this game is amazing i love the concept!!!!!!!!
The visuals of the game are outstanding! So many different elements, each with some variability! I will even put aside my outrage that birch tree produces fruit :D Anyway, I've ended up spending a few thousand on raccoons.
I didn't quite get what's wrong with the snow piles - what happens if you don't plow them? Seems like nothing or not much. And they kind of add to the ensemble.
Beautiful game! The only thing that's missing for me - is some kind of goal, direction, or limitation. But I assume not everyone needs that in the games :) Well done!
I agree with you that the conflict in this project was not very well resolved. A while back, I made a cozy game (for the #69 GWJ I think) and received some criticism regarding it being too "rushed," so I tried to make the freezing/snow mechanics as light as possible.
Basically, what happens is that plants that are on snow do not drop fruits. I tried to explain it through some tooltips, but I think I lacked a bit of objectivity in this regard. Other users reported similar problems.
Thanks for the detailed review, I will take everything into consideration for the upcoming projects 😊
As an UI guy I hope to get to this level someday! I just wished I could use hotkeys to switch between tools :)
Thank you so much for the kind review! 😊
Very cozy and charming. Good job!
This concept might work well on a touchscreen, too. The look+sound+feel of your UI shows what godot can do (when the game designer has a clear sense of what they intend to deliver). And compadre, did you deliver.
Thank you very much for the kind review, I tried my best to make the interactions as fluid as possible😊
An extremely polished demo for what could honestly become a fully realized commercial game. All the small details in the animations and how the objects moved and spawned felt really nice. Really good job :D
I'm glad you liked the animations/tweens, I believe that was the point I prioritized the most during the project, making all interactions fluid, as I think that this is one of the most important things for a cozy game
Thanks for the review!
I love cozy games like this. This was so relaxing and the success sounds are so satisfying. I could play this for a while. Great job!
Very nice game. Very smooth and polished. I got into a zen state making that garden!

Very chill game that I enjoyed playing and I'd like to replay with my son (6) as I think he'd be able to play too.
The only slight tweak I'd like to see is the icons for digging made a bit bigger so they are easier to hit. Actually maybe also the difficulty increased - or alternatively the snow removed altogether for just a lovely chill gardening game.
I loved the crispness of the UI and the satisfying animations on harvesting.
Hey, I agree with you, I think the remove/freeze system is the weak point in this project. Another user suggested being able to drag the shovel over the snow instead of clicking buttons. Anyway, it's something I'll think about for future projects. Thanks a lot for the review 😊
Very chill (haha get it?) and good-looking game. Kind of reminds me of old idle games in the Flash game era.
I think everyone else already mostly mentioned what I wanted to say, but I don't think anyone else mentioned that the options menu was locked. It wouldn't let me open the menu for some reason (maybe it doesn't work in web?).
You got me, I actually didn't manage to implement it in time, so it ended up just being a disabled button 😅
very Cool, very very Cool
Such a nice cozy game!! I love the aesthetics and the sounds.
Will love to play the complete game! :D
Very chill. I like the art style, everything looks so soft!
You confused me for a moment with the tooltip about unselecting a tool with the left button... I think you meant the right button :D
For a cozy relaxing game, the snow felt a bit out of place, specially since the button to remove it was so tiny, so I couldn't really relax. Besides that, the game feels very polished, good job!
Hey, I kind of agree, I wanted to add some kind of conflict to the game, but maybe time mechanics aren't the best options for cozy games. Thanks for the review 😊
Cool game! The art is awesome, the sounds are amazing and it is so cozy, I love games like this.
I think that the action to remove snow shouldn't be in a tiny button, just let me pick the shovel and drag around the screen like crazy removing all the snow and bursting snow particles everywhere lol - it would be way more satisfying and you could even increase a lot the snow generation during some sort of "blizzard" event.
Hey, this is a great idea that hasn't crossed my mind! thanks for the review 😊
A very relaxing gardening game. Beautiful art and graphic design, well done!
