gameplay is godlike, just wow! This was more fun that it had any right to be, just amazing! I like the art style, the witty nature of it and just everything was so fun!
Please make a post-jam release with at least some saving mechanics, i lost at day 8 and just dont have it in me to restart. Solid!

Developer

Wow, thanks so much! That's really high praise. We would definitely consider that, we are currently working on post jam patch so we would have to see just how much time that will really take up! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Really nails down the core fun of jam games, which is something that works far better than it has any right to, and also lets you beat the hell out of people until they slam into the skybox. Great work.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! We fixed the infinite wooshing guys in our little post jam patch so once the jams done we can post that and let you pummel to your heart's desire!

Submitted(+2)

Very silly and to echo what others have said, impressive as hell that you guys were able to get the recognition to be as strong as it is in the time frame we had ON TOP of the rest of the gameplay available. Massive kudos!

The main issue I had was just difficulty navigating, I felt like I got caught on the desk a lot when I was trying to get to my chair. Probably just a skill issue on my end XD

Developer

Thanks so much for giving it a playthrough! That gesture system got to a good place in my opinion yeah, I do think it had more room to grow for sure though. Sorry to hear about the collision issues, we can look into that for the post jam patch!

Submitted(+2)

Great game! The concept of writing contracts with some having special powers is really unique, and I only ran into issues with it giving the wrong drawing once. Juggling the drawing and trying to get rid of thieves was a lot of fun. I do wish you were brought back to your current day instead of the first day when you lose, but overall great work!

Developer

Thanks so much for giving it a shot! That is a fair suggestion, and definitely one I would have considered a lot more if it didn't require us to create a save / load system lmao, unfortunately no time for that. But yes on a post jam patch version I would be very receptive to having checkpoints! And I'm glad to hear the gesture recognition system worked well, it definitely took some wrangling and still has a long ways to go. That stressful juggling of different tasks was really the inciting vision for this game, so hearing that it came through in the end is great!

Submitted(+2)

Very unique gameplay, unfortunately I didn't get around to using any of the magic powers. :( I don't know if it was the image detection or my incompetence. It's impressive that you implementing the recognition, though in the time that we had. After a little while, I think the gameplay gets repetitive, but that could also be the fact that I didn't actually use my magical powers... great submission!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for giving it a shot! Thats a shame you didn't get to use the power documents, those are a big part of the theme! The gesture recognition is far from perfect yeah, you gotta really try to mimic the way it's drawn on the logo. I do agree that the office could change a bit more as you go on, I think more upgrades and client variants would help the gameplay expand a bit more. That was a fun stream though thanks for giving it a play!

Submitted(+1)

I will definitely be replaying it later, and making sure to use those powers!!

Submitted(+2)

Wow this is unique! I loved stapling people in the face and was so pleasantly surprised by the drawing mechanic! I only had time to do one run but I'm definitely coming back to try and unlock all the upgrades. Very funny concept and great execution, well done

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks! The stapling was a very early idea with this as we felt it kinda pushed the power element, we couldn't make a game about the theme of power and have you gently hand the clients their documents lol. This is actually the reigned in version, originally handing clients documents was going to be what sends them flying across the room, but we decided to reserve that for the bat. Good luck on your future runs though! Word of wisdom if you get stuck, dismissal is VERY powerful. Like arguably too powerful lol. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Haha I think ragdolling them with the staple would have been funny but a bit over the top, the bat was super satisfying to use as well. Thanks for the tip, you guys made something quite special

Submitted(+2)

THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE SO FAR! im 100% gonna play this one in my free time, i got addicted instantly LOL amazing work!!

Developer(+1)

Wow that means a lot! Thanks so much for giving it a shot and we're so hyped that we got to be someone's favorite! Good luck grinding for the quotas, and thanks so much for playing!

Submitted(+2)

great concept, love my random bouts of power rage

Developer

Yeah you gotta manage that stress meter! Although it is kinda fun to just plow through clients like a bull in a china shop... Glad you had fun!

Submitted(+2)

Great game! I wish the game didn't reset when you lost (Probably just personal preference) but other than that it was a lot of fun.

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah it is hard to find the difficulty just right, I found myself wishing I could create optional difficulties or a sandbox kinda mode where you can just make documents and goof around. A hard mode where the qoutas are all tripled or something could be interesting too! Although that would probably be impossible as of right now haha. But yeah I'm glad to hear you had some fun with it!

Submitted(+2)

i too wanna bap every person who comes into my place of work sending them flying into a waking nightmare where they run in place for eternity, pending manual damnation

very fun silly game, love the personality of ur projects as always >:3!!!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and that stream was super fun! The infinite running guys are definitely a staple of any law office worth its salt.

Submitted(+2)

very silly and well done, even a fun little moving main menu, very slick. The thing that stuck out was how sudden the round/day ended. A bit clearer environment/sound (getting darker ect.) and/or more visual ques on the bar about how much time has past/is left would help a lot.

Developer

Absolutely valid, yeah. I think during development I wrote off the bad feeling of a loss to the sloppiness of the end screen and figured if I had spare time I would overhaul that screen to feel / look better and solve that. In hindsight the main issue is more about how suddenly it appears, though. So yeah I appreciate the feedback and a post jam patch version would absolutely have that tweaked and improved! Thanks so much for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Ain't no way I had 49228 when I needed 50k. I think there should have been more visual indication or some leniency with the end of day coming, cause it felt so sudden, but other than that I really loved the game. I wonder, how did you make the drawing detection system?

Developer(+1)

ooof, that's rough. I definitely agree an indicator that you are reaching the end of the time limit would be great, the clock isn't enough, especially when it gets blocked by clients. This video was integral to getting the drawing system working, shouts out Mix and Jam!

Interesting

I'll never be a powerful attorney like my father, it's just all too much for me. A drawing game is such a unique idea, and it's a wonder it works so well. It definitely asks too much of me and my little trackpad, but this was really a wonderfully unique one!

Developer(+1)

oof yeah this on a trackpad does not sound fun haha. Thanks for giving it a shot though! I'm sure you will become a big strong attorney one day.

Submitted(+2)

Really fun if you aren't playing to win. It's quite annoying and very easy to get angery about >:O

If you are going for the win I think it's a bit too hard. You pretty much have to fish for dismissal and don't get any upgrades.

Quite impressed by how accurate the drawing detection is btw.

Developer(+1)

I appreciate the feedback! That's all very valid and I will definitely take that into consideration. Balancing a game to be fair is tough when you have been grinding it every day for 10 days straight haha, I need to learn better how to estimate where the difficulty should be relative to myself. Happy/sorry to hear we annoyed you though lol, definitely some intended frustrations mixed in there with some of the unintended ones.

Submitted(+2)

Wow what a very fun game! Had a blast!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Loved the drawing mechanic and the special contracts were a lot of fun to use.

Here's a vod of me playing your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2372490353?t=03h33m33s

Developer

Thanks for giving it a real shot! That was a fun stream

Submitted(+2)

This game is incredible. Stupendous job. Just needs some balancing work and it'll be even better. There are simply too many customers on the final day (which is hilarious). I never really got the time to identify unruly clients and serve them the interesting power documents. In the last few days the phone didn't ring at all, and on the final day I managed to serve a blank red piece of paper to a client. My first run was a quick failure; I don't think it's possible to succeed on your first play, but that's ok. Again, incredible work.

Developer(+1)

yeha the sensory overload at the end is very funny to me and is definitely in the spirit of the original intended vision, but yeah in a real release I think that would need to be adjusted. I'm not too sure what is going on with the phone exactly, I have had that pop up a few times so I have to look into that. The blank red paper is uhhhh... well it's the gesture recognition system thinking you drew a dick. We included that in the trainings data as a planned joke to try to call people out for drawing a dick but the detection wasn't accurate enough so it would falsely accuse you of dick drawing often. We planned to just cut it but it turned out the dick gesture was too integral to the systems and would be a pain to remove, and we really didn't have the time so here we are lmao.

Submitted(+2)

I loved stapling documents to peoples heads and telling them to get the hell out of my office lol

Developer

Hey man you've got a quota to make they shouldn't be in the way anyways lol

Submitted(+2)

Super fun! I love the drawing mechanic!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a shot! And yeah that mechanic came together pretty good I think, we initially thought it would be out of scope but one of our programmers got it going pretty quick and surprised us haha.

Submitted(+2)

Holy shit this game is cool, I played it for a while, but only ever got $955,000. Legit stressful, but sometimes I did get slightly irritated at the targeting giving the wrong person the documents.

This game does have great potential though, and I hope it gets expanded. I really enjoyed the humor in this game and being able to hire a "legally distinct" Huel is great.

Awesome game. It could use some polish though.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a real shot! Sorry to hear you were just short, that's a bummer. Super glad to hear the humor came through though and yeah we couldn't resist the saul references.

Alright, decided to give it a few more attempts. After a chaotic mess of a run, here is my final score:

This game was really damn fun.

Developer(+1)

Let's gooo nice score!
