Spooky!

I love how the lamp interacts with the world in a complicated yet straightforward way that makes each interaction interesting. Also love the different capture abilities, especially the teleporting one!
Ooh, this might be my all around favorite!
The sprites and background are stellar, the music and sfx are great, and the puzzle design is very creative! I also really love how the lighting is implemented. It's clear a lot of care went into the aesthetics, and it absolutely paid off.
The amount of polish on display make it hard to believe this is a jam game.
Huge props to the team on this one!

Everything about this game is perfect. I might have to take a break for a bit so I’m not comparing every other game too harshly against this one.
Amazing game! Everything is great all around. Congratulations!
This game is just amazing. Very polished presentation and excellent level design. Congrats!
What a joy to play! I think I got soft locked on the third level near the top, when I had to teleport away, but there was no teleport ghost to power up from so I was just stuck there. It also took me a while to realise that it was killing an enemy changes your weapon.
Other than that though, this is as close to perfect as you could hope for from a game jam! You and the team should be very proud.
Move over old favorite, this game is my new favorite. I'm done playing and I've still got the game open in the background so I can listen to the music.
Yeah this is just a really good entry, the gameplay is fun and the puzzle are well made, the art is nice and the audio is good. it fits spooky really well. there isn't much else I can say that people haven't probably said already but yeah this is very well made.
Wait a minute.... I believe I completed the game but I didn't see those puzzles from the screenshots.... It was fun to play, I didn't know about charging the attack at first and got stuck, then I watched the gifs and that helped me, after that I was able to "complete" the game but I believe I just completed a part of it... Anyways, the game is pretty fun.
Wow! The lantern is a great puzzle mechanic that is extremely fun to use. The art is proficient and creepy, with great attention paid to the lighting. The character design is charming. The puzzles are just thoughtful enough without being frustrating. The soundtrack is simply excellent.
That was a cool GBJAM 12 splash screen!
Great job on the GB-style sound cancelling; it sounds great!
Fantastic! Great work!
glad you liked the soundtrack and sound cancelling =w=
Really nice and inventive puzzles, great design overall! What won me from the start was that it was really easy to understand how the mechanics work! Excellent entry!
Very good
Best entry I've played, great art, music and gameplay, I got stuck on the cogs though, couldn't move forward or backwards, quite frustrating as I wanted to continue playing, I got past the door, picked up the life, but then couldn't see a way out of it, just kept moving back and forth between the three rooms and dying repeatedly lol
Just read another comment, apparently there is a ricochet move? Maybe that might have helped...
Felt really polished and pretty much like a complete experience. If I was playing on a GB it would've felt right at home.
This game was well designed throughout and fun to play. Puzzles are very engaging and the combat is unique. I suggest detailing the tilemap to have more of a sense of direction or perhaps more variety(pics on wall, rug, etc) so there isnt much wandering around the puzzles and unnecessary doublebacking. Briefly, I felt like quitting when I couldn’t find the secret garden. Also, you may be aware of this already but there’s a small bug when you fall off the map where the player doesnt resize back to normal. This game has great potential, I hope you guys plan on expanding until completion. Keep it up!
Thanks for playing!!
Adding landmarks is a really good point, will keep that in mind for the future
Great game! The puzzles are very clever, and the variety of ghosts the player can use is impressive. Eventually I got stuck in the section with the teleportation ghosts, I only had a regular ghost and I was no longer encountering tele ghosts so it seemed like a softlock, but just a minor bug compared with the rest of the game being fantastic. Nice job!
Nice game. Have you tried not to normalize the direction vector of the player? Might make diagonal movement smoother.
Gameplay, music, and graphics are on point. Everything is very well done. There’s not much more to say. I know the Jam has the theme of a GB-like game, but I would easily play this on the Switch hahaha.
That was a blast to play, I really enjoyed the mechanics and the flexibility of the commands. The levels were packed with character and I'm frankly shocked at how much game you managed to include. The sprites felt like a really good use of the space, and the movement and animation drew the eye across the level.
The music and SFX were really well covered from all directions. It felt like everything had something to "say" when it was interacted with.
I found some difficulty where the paths split and wasn't sure where to go - especially with meeting a dead end that wasn't solvable from that position.
Beautiful palette and shading work.
Thank you so much for playing, and enjoying the music `\O(=w=)>
