As others mentioned, I found the controls a little hard/non-intuitive, but the artwork really got me. Superb work!
It took me a while to figure out how to play. It felt like I was doing well for a while then a big wave came along and I wasn't able to beat it. The art style was really nice and the interaction of dragging and dropping the gem was a really cool idea.
I think a mini tutorial would have been welcome and giving a little animation to the player and the opponent during the battle would have been great.
Cool!
The controls are a bit funky. I feel like it lack explanations, I'm also not sure where I am supposed to see the money I will gain from the next fight. However, I enjoy the fact that we need to drag and drop the gem on the improvements or battle.
I would've like to see what we were buying before doing so.
In any case, very beautiful graphics, and a nice game. Well done :D
Really good looking game, congrats on the graphics, The controls are a bit confusing, seems to have some fight with no money gain, and stats in the combats screen are not well explained, would gain to have a quick tutorial, great entry, congrats :D
this game was very fun, i spent way too much time trying to beat it. I never was able to but i am wondering if it is beatable or goes on forever. Love that i can also play it smoothly on mobile. Took me 1 run just to figure out how things worked but after that i was hooked
LOVED the art! was a bit confused about not having much player imput on the first 5 fights, but maybe i didnt completely get the game, i think it has great potential! also loved the main menu easter egg
Nice submission! It was not very obvious (and felt a bit weird tbh) that you need to skip opening the shop to get money - I've opened the shop first 5 rounds and pretty much lost all that money :D
And really cute art! It would be cool to have some extra animation with it.
Cool! Love the art and mechanics.
I really liked the game, the graphics are really good. Once you understand how things work, it becomes really fun!
As others have said, the art is amazing, tooltips or something to explain some of the UI elements would be really helpful. Really solid auto-battler though, nice work!
Amazing game! Spent at least an hour on it!
It would have been nice to have a tooltip to get information on the different stats and such, but once I got the grip I
really wanted to see how far all the different form leveling would take me! Not sure if there is an end to the game (didn't manage to get too far on 4 runs) but it's a very fun concept! I hate idle/auto battler games usually, but this one really caught my attention! Definetely a project that deserves an update!
Thank you so much for your feedback!
Beautiful graphics! Would benefit from more in-game guidance/info, such as tooltips etc. Didn't quite understand what was going on for quite a bit (still not 100% sure LOL). But nice submission!
Thanks for your comment !
We understand the difficulty to get over the mechanics, and we unfortunately had not the time to work on a tutorial or a “Help” feature.
However, it would definitely be our priority if we ever rework on that project in the future. Hope you will be there to see it !
Loved the easter eggs with the UI, though it would have been a nice accessibility feature to include an optional tutorial. Art style was really nice, though I would have appreciated more feedback for if I was making progress or not. Do the creatures ever combine, or you can just swap them out? Excellent first entry!
Thank you for testing our game !
There's a hint of progression with the stats, you can evolve through winning waves with the same shape. We understand though, this feature alone is not giving the player a solid feeling of progression.
For now only swapping shapes is possible, but combining them out would be a fun feature to add. We appreciate the suggestion !
pretty nice idea! Took me a bit to understand how to upgrade /buy properly. But didn't make it past the level with all of the monsters coming in.. is that one winnable? I also think it could have been a bit more clear how the ui works. Good job :)
The 60 monsters wave is definitely winnable. However, some ultra end-game waves haven’t been thoroughly tested. I’ll scale down some of those.
Additionally, I’ll be buffing certain morphs to make them more viable.
Thank you for your feedback!
I found the concept of choosing between buying gear or gaining gold very interesting and fun, it has a lot of potential. Would love to see it expanded into a longer game! And definitely one of the best art styles I've seen in a game jam, amazing work :D
Thank you so much! I'm glad you had fun playing
really nice art style and a bunch cute critters. Even though I mostly have no idea what's going on this game made me feel very smart for thinking of putting the glasses on the cat. hehe
Ahahahah my favorite feature
Thanks for your comment !
Loooove the concept, and your art is amazing !!
Thank you so much !
Beautiful game! I loved the cute/horror aesthetic and the interactive UI. It made the project feel super polished.
My main feedback is that the progression seemed unclear at first. I wasn't earning gold after clearing some stages and consistently wasn't able to purchase anything from the shop. Then I noticed that checking the shop prevented gold from being rewarded. I'm not sure if that was a bug or intended.
Once I generally understood how much the items cost, I could just save my shopping trips to unlock new morphs.
Thank you for the feedback !
The main goal was to create a choice between :
- "greed" another wave with the current morph, even if this isnt the most appropriate in order to earn golds + unlock current permanent boost
And
- just open the box, to look at the content, probably buy something, and swap morph to adapt to the current wave
You can noticed that the crystal you use on the shop lose the "$" logo on it, but yeah not enough explicit at first obviously.
Fun game loop and a great art style!
Thank you !
