Very charming game!

The visuals are outstanding, definitely the best aspect of this game to me. The way the characters react and emote is just really... well, charming. The sound design is also very good, and compliments the art style really well.

While it is fun to talk to the characters the first couple of times, it does get repetitive. It really doesn't help that all the characters have the same questions. I just think in general there's not enough questions. I would even occasionally get the same question twice for the same character. I get that writing a lot of questions and reactions would be hard, but considering they make up the entire gameplay loop, it's kind of important.

But that's basically my entire critique. There's nothing else I really think needs to be improved. That being said, I don't think this would work well as a full game. I think expanding this would be really tricky without changing the core gameplay too much. It's fantastic at what it wants to be, even if that's something you'll only play for 10 minutes or so.

Thanks for the feedback! Originally we were gonna have a different set of questions for every character, but sadly we didnt have enough time to implement them. And the characters asking the same questions is a bug which we will fix after the jam fully ends. Really glad that you liked the visuals btw! This was my first time making low poly 3D assets/characters and I was really wondering if people would like it.

Well Bonicle the result of feedback on the art is: overwhelmingly positive!

I absolutely loved the writing and the overall goofy tone of the game. It was silly but relaxing at the same time. I also enjoyed it's connection to Glitcheon from last year's jam.

I think you know my comment on  the stream but

in summery the characters is unique on it's own

the relateness to the future real world is cool and thoughtfull

Very stylish and fun to learn everyone's personalities, as well as their different kinds of responses. In terms of mechanics I'm struggling a bit trying to figure out if I would prefer to have a meter to know how liked/disliked I am by an interviewer as I found myself a bit surprised when Angelo and Greg liked me in the end. On one hand it's useful to be able to aim for and see how poorly I am doing, on the other I think knowing right away if I'm doing well in the interview removes a lot of the tension and mystery, and with this game being more narrative focused I think that tension is more important than pure informational clarity I would get with a meter. Great job overall. An amusing experience getting to interact with these managers

Thanks, this makes sense. We wanted to change their default expressions and body language as they begin to approve/disapprove more or less but we didn’t have time.

So lets start with:

THE DESIGN!!  UIlooks fire, aswell with the entire game design, heads, response texts, it all feels like it has been professionally thinked about.

Now for the main game loop: I'm personally not a huge fan of the topic of "select text-games", but this game had its own pluses, such as the comedy parts hidden in it, and each personality for interviewers.

Note i didn't beat the entire game, tried 2 times, and then just started to click random answers, none worked.

Game's team made this long by making threee different personalities, each one requiring different types of answers, it made not boring, more like infurating that SOMEOONE DOESNT LIKE WHAT I DO EACH TIME!!!!!! ... ... ... sorry... anyways..

Good game idea, good execution. What else do you need from a jam game?

Developer

Thank you! We set out to make a game that you CAN win or lose, but it doesn't really change the overall experience, so don't fret if you got the job. You still experienced the game as intended. :)

Imma riot if you guys don't win this jam :D

The artwork of each interviewers' faces and body expressions are easily my favorite part of the game. I loved that each interviewer's office had clues about their personality as well. I wish it was a bit easier to see the different endings (or restart from the 2nd or 3rd interview). After failing the first two interviews but passing the last one twice in a row I gave up.

Thank you for the constructive comment!
We definitely didn't go into this expecting everyone to play until they win, but I like that you felt a drive to do so for a time. ^^
What we tried to do is make a game where whether you won or lost, you could still walk away with a smile on your face.

No frustration with dying and retrying the same step over and over again, but instead playing to the end whether you win or lose.

I think in that goal you succeeded :) I forgot to mention I also like the tie-in with Glitcheon!

Finding people's personalities and attempting to infuriate them was very fun and satisfying. I can't really think of anything constructive-criticism-wise, soo uhhhhhhhh...

Good job!

Great and funny game! I found a bug where the play again button that appears when you fail to get the job doesn't do anything when you press it. Great game!!

Developer

Thanks for letting us know, we’ll fix it once the jam rating period is over. :)

I loved playing this game. Great job with everything, it definitely got a laugh from me with how different each of the department heads are from each other.

This game is beautiful. I loved learning about the interviewer as they interviewed me, and (sometimes unsuccesfully) tried to annoy them.

I've never been so disappointed in my life to be hired at a great company.

Excellent game, definetly a top-contender.
