Game's Take on the Theme
The spin relics provide users with special abilities depending on how fast they spin. The only way to defeat a relic user is to spin their relic by force. Some spin based attacks for the bosses

Great game! Every boss kept me on my toes and while giving me a hell of a challenge, it was still pretty fair. Probably the most balanced boss battle experience I’ve had in this gamejam! Although the use of theme could’ve been better.

Also the second boss with the blue clothes and katana and his attacks reminded me of Vergil from devil may cry and his judgement cuts, I don’t know if it was inspired by him or not but he was still my favorite.

I adored how fun it was to fight these bosses. Plus the music was amazing as well

really cool bosses, great audio, and simple but dynamic gameplay. i'd tone down the screen shake when you land the [BIG SHOT] though, that was a bit disorienting.

was expecting to have a much harder time when i saw the first boss, but somehow beat the game with only one death.

I loved how dynamic the game is and how fast the bosses move. That speed in the bosses is something I wish I had implemented in my own game. This bullet hell is really fun, and the music in the second stage of the final boss is amazing. Great game!

This game had a ton of style!  It was short, concise and an overall fun experience!  A minor nitpick would be that I would have liked to hear some sort of gun shot after you complete the input sequence as some form of finisher instead of just being greeted by a next boss button.  Other than that, nice work!

This is a very fun and challenging game, however I did not get any sound from the game. I works great with linux too!

Developer

Sorry to hear that, are you able to play on windows?

Submitted(+1)

If it isn't for the lack of use of theme, the game is pretty solid! even tho a little bit shorter than what i hoped for the fun given (would have loved one more boss/harder boss, but i get that it does not fit the time given by the gamejam) Anyway, the game was fun to play indeed, controls are great and easy to take in hand, spin metter (even tho too simple) feels extremly satifying to hit, yeah, great experience, would have needed more spinning as i said but still, great experience, and flawless music for the style of the game.

the only flaw in my opinion is the was the bosses death are SO anti-climatical, like, it feels like something SO COOL is going to happen right at the end- but the game just says "no, you beaten the boss lol" but yeah, that's my only flaw, really cool game nontheless .

Great game! I loved the boss fights and the transitions when the boss reaches a certain percentage of HP. Congratulations! The samurai fight was my favorite. Awesome soundtrack too.

Gameplay is very dynamic, literally bullet hell, and somehow i beat it from the first try. Art style and music are simple but blend good together. Great work

Submitted

Super dynamic game ! Not a lot of submissions of this jam are axed to the dynamic, so I love to see some as a rush player !! In the same time I felt stressed but also always rewarded as the game have a really clean balance so far !

GG to the team !!

Submitted

That was AMAZING! Like I really enjoyed the breakcore, the fights felt extreme, the charged shot felt so punctual! The only thing I didn't get was the charged shot being called spin lol. But really, that was awesome! This is why I got into music, for stuff like this. It's just a really good game with a great soundtrack to back it up! It gives atmosphere!

It feels great to play and it's very fun. Great job!

Tight responsive controls and the bosses felt fun to fight against, also the visuals fit the fast-paced gameplay well. Fits the theme kind of loosely but the bosses are cool so it makes up for it. Also love the impact frames and whatever I was doing when finishing them off.

Developer(+2)

I'm glad you enjoyed it . I had a great time making it and I hope I can utilize the theme better in future jams. Looking foward to playing your games aswell

This game is really bloddy fun, the dash is always JUST right. never too far, never too short. The movment feels very tight and precise. The game is super fast but the indicatiors work REALLY well so every attack that hits you feels like your fault and never the games fault. This was ALOT of fun, music was adrenaline rushing.

The art is quite simple but such a fast game that requires reflexes and having to dodge attacks cannnot work with a complex art style cause it would lose visual clarity.

Only criticism is that the game does not really follow the theme of the jam, atleast I didn't notice it, besides the word spin in the corner that could have been any other word (If i am missing something, pls tell me) :/

As a boss rush i think its perfect, as a boss rush with a theme of spin, not so much.

The game is JUST RIGHT in every aspect. Not too overwhelming, not too underwhelming. Amazing balance of the 2!

Amazing game, good job :D

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much for the awesome feedback! :D I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the dash mechanics and movement! I wanted to keep things tight and precise, so it's great to know that worked out. :3 I'm also glad the indicators felt fair and helped you stay on top of everything—it's all about that adrenaline rush! >:)

You're right about the art; with such a fast-paced game, I wanted to make sure it stayed clear and easy to read. :P

As for the theme, I see what you mean. I probably could've tied the "spin" element more clearly into the gameplay. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future jams! ;D

Thanks again for playing and for the kind words! :3

Game is fun, loved how quick everything happens. I feel the fights could of have been longer, but maybe that was part of the design choice. The theme is there but I think it could have had a stronger role. Overall the game is very solid and very polished. I'd love to see this expanded upon in the future.

Developer(+2)

I truly appreciate you taking the time to play our game! (●'◡'●) I agree that my take on the theme wasn’t the strongest, and the fights were a bit short, but I’m really glad you still enjoyed the experience. Thank you for your support! (︶^︶)

Submitted(+2)

High octane and precise gameplay. The game is short and super fun. My favorite part is probably the music, which adds just so much to the experience. Unfortunately I didn't really see a strong interpretation of the theme - but otherwise this knocked it out of the park.

Developer(+1)

Yeah...our interpretation of the theme is a bit lacking but I am glad you enjoyed the game. We worked very hard on the music and tried to get the right feel for our bosses.  Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

controls great, good sound, great music, bosses are a bit too easy and the spin theme takes a backseat mostly.

Developer(+1)

yeah the spin mechanic was hard for me to formulate an idea on but I'm happy you enjoyed everything else. We worked really hard on it :)

Submitted(+1)

The movement felt really smooth, and it felt really nice to just dodge stuff by dashing around. The camera movements were also really good, and I appreciated those small pauses and boss zoom-ins throughout each fight. I also appreciate the fact that the player character is really small so their hurtbox is also fairly lenient.

I am not sure if I was missing something but I couldn't quite get the RMB attack to fire even when the spin meter was full

Overall though, this was pretty fun to play!

Developer(+1)

I'm happy that you enjoyed the game. We tried our best to nail the fast paced feel and I'm happy that was noticed. For the rmb you have to hold and release

Submitted(+1)

At the moment still haven't beaten the last boss, but will put some more time into it later. I loved the visuals and the music, it gives a great sense of urgency and a very unique style. The game was really fun and a good mix of challenge. Plus the use of a spin it really is a nice touch, Im not the best at bullet hells but I like the patterns and the Chrono Reaver, Big Vergil vibes. Loved the game honestly, you should be proud of what you did!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it so far thank you very much! I value your comment a lot
