I wanted to like this due to it being so popular on the list. I just couldn't figure it out though. I shot the big bubbles coming at me and dodged all the floating bubbles but kept dying. I love how the game looks though and it is another unique take on the spin idea! I just don't care much for the gameplay, but its probably a skill issue from me as usual lol.

As frustrating as it is fun. just like the arcade classics, this would be a quarter muncher.

My score for RubberDuckyBoatBattle:
Fun :: Lacks somewhat
The zany humor makes up for a lot, but the bugs still damage the experience
Boss Design :: Lacks little
While buggy and unbalanced, the design itself was phenomenal
Theme :: Lacks severely
The theme felt like an afterthought
Controls :: Lacks somewhat
The layout was unintuitive, some mechanics fall short of their usefulness, but overall not terrible.
Audio :: Lacks little
Music was great, and even had some intriguing surprises. SFX were there. Great effort nonetheless.
Visuals :: Lacks little
Astonishingly vast array of visuals. Ultimately suffered from the scope, but impressive that so much was done.
I simply loved the 3D art style, the sound effects are well-fitted, I just couldn't adapt very well to the movement style, I found it very difficult to dodge attacks. Congratulations on your game, I really liked it!
I gave it a go, and I couldn't figure out the mechanics on how to beat the boss, I felt limited on movement. But I liked the rubber ducky! This game definitely has the cute factor. Congrats on submission, and good luck with the jam!

This was an interesting game! I really liked how the entire boss fight was structured, though it’s clear that the deadline didn’t allow for full polish. The movement of the ship might need some rethinking, but even so, the game was really engaging. I respect how much you managed to accomplish in such a short time—great job!
Thanks for the kind words! We definitely felt like we were pushing it with the amount of things we were putting in, but you miss every shot you don't take, right?
We discussed full WASD movement at one point but the scope pretty quickly prohibited it. We're looking at WASD going forward with physics pull you towards the center into the drain as a loss condition and added point of tension.
Interesting idea, but sadly I didn't manage to beat the first boss to unlock others. I didn't get how to deal with first boss blue laser, like I think you need to activate a shield in the right position, but laser attack seems to be instant, so even if I activate a shield, I don't have time to place it properly.
Nice game!
Quite an interesting idea and a good abiliye abilities, Cool bosses (myself honestly could not pass the first, but tried another).
Of the minuses I wanted to note that I think it was a bad idea to do some fixed boat movement instead of completely free on wasd with camera rotation that frankly knocked out of the gameplay glue.
Adorable and pleasing visuals, I'm a sucker for low-poly aesthetics and I kept smiling throughout the game, it was a bit difficult, but I eventually got the hang of it. We really do need more ducks In these Jams, this game is a bonified quacker :D
I really liked the visuals! I didn't expect to end up finding this so engaging, it took me a while to get a grasp on all of the various systems but I had fun figuring all that out little by little. I do think the first boss' attacks could have been telegraphed a bit more, but this was a pleasant experience. The loading screens were fun too! Nice job!
This was surprisingly challenging, but I like the idea! Cute game! :)
Cute game! So much going on here, but I appreciate the bath tub / kids toys theme. Good job!
Very cute and goofy atmosphere :) the whole low-poly art style adds a lot of charm to the game! One thing i noticed though is that the first boss doesn't have and visual or audio feedback before he shoots (or spits?) water at you, making it hard to shield before he attacks. But this was still very fun. Good job!
Very cute game! The little load screen was my favorite, I love fact screens xD I haven't been able to defeat Ahab Waddlesworth yet but I know I can do it!! Great job!!
Awesome, thank you for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the game! The load screens were developed with my drawing, and nerdwellrounded’s facts. I think they’re cute too!
It took me quite a while to beat Ahab myself, I’m sure you’ll get it! The next boss, he’s a wild one, haven’t beat him yet haha but nerdwellrounded can clear them all, so I will too some day!
The flavor and style is super cute. I think you guys did a great job creating a cozy vibe, which is pretty funny when juxtaposed with the laser railgun sfx from the boat lol. I wanted to specially mention the hummed lullaby during the load screen... that was especially cute.
