It looks like a demake of the game Skul: The Hero Slayer.

It’s well done, but I felt it lacked some more original elements. Also, something that would allow me to recover the head more safely, as there was a moment when the head stopped on top of the spikes. Congratulations.

Really nice platformer with nice pixel art, good music and sound effects and really entertaining gameplay.

It's short enough for everyone to beat it while being long enough to be entertaining. I can imagine playing more of this. Very nice!

Fun gameplay idea, good ost, nice pixel art  !
well a good entry ! :)

A gem from this jam for sure, one of the most fun action mechanics I've gotten to play

Love everything about this, especially the boss at the end, but the only thing that bothers me, is that the checkpoint sfx is way too loud in comparison to every other sfx as well as the music, but that's really minor in comparison to everything else. great entry!

The gameplay is perfect, juggling the head to not die is fun. Awesome!

Excellent, merciless game! I appreciate the choice of the core mechanic with projectile motion, requiring precision launching and positioning. Restless skeleton indeed.

That was cool! The skull is quite fun to use. The art is proficient, and the concept is quite charming!

The dogs tend to blend in with the dark backgrounds.

The checkpoint reload sound is a bit loud. Also, the skeleton death noise plays repeatedly while the body is still in contact with the thing that killed it (such as spikes).

All-in-all, good work!

Just finished playing through it, honestly I love the project as a concept, there were a few issues with the camera not panning down enough, but honestly that just added to the gameboy soul (the limited screen size and etc).

Also the use of your head as a weapon AND as HP is a really good idea, if this were released back during the gameboy era, this could potentially be a "souls-like" game of that era simply due to how strategic you have to be in regards to enemies as well as making sure you don't die.

All in all, really good submission, almost lost my head ;)

Simply put, amazing. The sounds are great the animations as well.

Awesome game. loved the skull throwing mechanic, but didn't get what the blinking skull bonus was. Very punishing, but fun regardless

Thank you for your comment :) Yeah, probably we forgot to mention it anywhere. The "empowered" head deals 2 damage to enemies, instead of 1.

Yeah, I assumed something like that, but I probably only tested it against cats.

Great game. I love Decap Attack for Genesis and hoped for some more design explosions like yours

That was pretty neat, I had quite a bit of good old frustrating fun. Definitely reminded me of the good old days of games like Megaman and Metroid and how they were difficult, but felt good to progress in. I liked the damage and life mechanics too. I ended up surviving things because I caught my head, as well as really show that boss what for at the end eventually with a serious combo. Great game overall, I almost thought there was going to be more (and secretly was hoping it was so)

I like its fire head mechanics and the extra damage if you pick the skull right, I tried to keep the bonus as much as possible while trying to beat the game. I managed to kill the boss and rest in peace in the end. Nice little game.

Excellent game!! I absolutely LOVE the concept of the head being the source of damage and your health, really creative risk and reward system. Fantastic stuff!

Great jam entry! I managed to beat it despite the difficulty level. I thought the head projectile mechanic was fun and clever. The presentation of the game is really good as well. The main issue I had was placement & zoom. It was difficult to see where you would land and enemies that are approaching. Overall, this is a solid game!
