I like playing, though I wish that there was more variety. I also sometimes had difficulty seeing the spikes against the background.

I thought this was spot on for the theme!  Your mechanics were really clear, and there was a lot of polish that really made the game shine.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m thrilled to hear that the game felt spot-on for the theme and that you appreciated the polish and clarity of the mechanics. Your feedback means a lot!

The graphical style, fast gameplay, and retro aesthetic choices were nice, but I did find some bugs without even trying. If you slide just before the "sliding section" the character will get stuck, and certain spots have the collectibles stuck inside the scenery. Don't know how well the game fits the theme, so had to dock some points from that.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you liked the graphical style and retro aesthetic. I’ll look into fixing the bugs you mentioned, especially the sliding section and collectibles stuck in the scenery.

Your insights are really helpful for improving the game.  Thanks for taking the time to share them!

I liked this a lot.  The penguin was adorable and everything worked great.  I do wish it started out a little slower and we were zoomed out further (I would do jumps and then fall in chasms that I hadn't even seen).  Still, I enjoyed this a lot and hope you get to work more on it.

Thank you so much for playing and for the thoughtful feedback! I'm really glad you liked the penguin and overall experience. I’ll definitely consider slowing the start and zooming out a bit to make those jumps more manageable.

Your input means a lot!

Very good game! I liked it, except for that red dude... :P

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and sharing your thoughts! I'm glad you enjoyed the game, though I see the sealion (our red dude) might have left a lasting impression! 😉

I'll keep that in mind for future updates!

Fun runner game. I really liked the art style and the controls were very responsive. Well done!

It's quite difficult to play.  The game moves very fast, even at the beginning.  Obstacles that instantly end the game are hard to see, let alone avoid.  You really can't manoeuvre in time, so have to memorise where you need to jump.  The camera doesn't help as it hides obstacles and platforms.

Slow the speed down in the next round, if you can.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

I appreciate you pointing out the difficulty and visibility issues. I’ll work on adjusting the game speed and camera to make it more manageable and ensure obstacles are easier to spot. Your suggestions will definitely help improve the gameplay experience!

Fun runner! This walruses !

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the game and its walrus antics.  It’s great to hear that the runner was fun for you!

Fun, simple, and cute! It's very clear what your two mechanics are. I did rage a little bit, but that's part of the fun. Great job overall!

Just a little feedback:

The parallax effect is reversed. The mountains should move the slowest, and the closest layer should move the fastest.

The blue spikes blend into the background and can be hard to see.

If you have keyboard controls for the game, it would be great if they could be used to start the game and navigate the menu as well instead of using both the mouse and keyboard.

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words and constructive feedback!

I’m glad you enjoyed the mechanics despite the challenge; it’s all part of the fun! I’ll definitely work on fixing the parallax effect and improving the visibility of the blue spikes.

Adding full keyboard navigation is a great suggestion, and I’ll look into implementing it in the next update.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

The art style is really nice! Works well as an endless runner, I was a little too impatient tho and killed myself repeatedly with the dash :')

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy to hear you liked the art style and found it fitting for an endless runner. I totally get the impatience with the dash, it's all part of the fun (and the challenge)! Glad you gave it a try!

Endless runners are my weakness, they're so fun and easy. I love this penguin / arctic take on the genre! Absolutely adorable art and style. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the penguin/arctic theme and found the art style adorable. Endless runners are such a fun genre to work with, and it’s awesome to hear that it resonated with you!

The game was fun, just a few suggestions: i had to click to start apparently and then it started immediately, may be initially the appearance of the distant platforms that needs jumps can be a bit delayed lol. but that is my skill issue. next, the ice cones almost blended with environment and there was not enough contrast. some scenaries in the background blended with the cones sometimes so i missed them. overall a fun game. well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing it and for the detailed feedback! I’ll definitely improve the contrast for the ice cones and make the platforms more visible.  I’ll also consider tweaking the starting mechanics for better clarity.

I appreciate your suggestions.
