Fantastic game! The music is absolutely on point, and I loved the creative feedback choices, like the laugh track for player damage. On top of that, the visuals are great, and everything feels really polished. Well done!
OH DAMN do i love the music, it feels really inspired by cuphead and i love thE whole thing
quite good replayability , fun game
Using the spinning wheel as a gacha for weapons is clever and keep players on their toes about the current weapon they're using. Some attacks felt slower than the others and I see you stop me from spamming the attacks lol. Had difficulties beating the boss because I keep misjudging where my player is positioned in relative to the lasers and what's my player current health. The stage angle(?) is a bit too flat for me (skill issue I know).
I really love how the artstyle and bgm/sfx are in theme, really giving off the classic carnival vibes and/or classic cartoon shows like those cuphead game.
Overall, good game! The boss spin theme and your own twist on it was nicely implemented.
Classically i wasn't very good at it.. lol. I'm sure people who played my game also felt the game was pretty difficult but that's how it goes. (NOTE the web player might have been playing in slow motion? The speed of the game would change sometimes and obviously my critique that the game is slow paced doesn't really apply in that case, but I don't know.) Couple things though, I think the theme (not spin but the game's theme, art, design, ect) is well done and the atmosphere is obvious and quite entertaining.
The loop of the game is easy to understand and pretty fun but I think the game suffers from a lack of telegraphing and the controls are a bit simple/rigid for a game that involves some slightly more complicated weapons to use (attacking in movement direction is a bit awkward). I also thought that the movement on the player could be quickened as it's pretty floaty. I really like the different phases of the main boss and the audio queues are very nice in their job of directing the game's progression. The game could use some general juicing up and maybe the enemies should take knockback or some kind of response to damage would make them feel more impactful and fun.
Overall the game is fun and you instantly understand what you should be doing and want to see the fight progress but it is a little barebones in places. That is my review, nice job guys. (:
Overall it's a great game!
I'm having a bit of technical issues few times when trying the game but don't mind it as it solely my own fault.
I like the gameplay because you seem having fun or hope you do when making it, the game feels really personalized, I can't say much about the difficulty because I'm pretty much not average person or so the others keep telling me.
I'm fine with gambli- I mean gacha weapon as I'm the type that like use anything I got in my hand but of course I'm not mastered all the weapon yes, especially the weapon like TNT, hammer, etc. so I have been treated weapon I'm not familiar with like a dud, but again don't mind me I'm just probably having a skill issue.
The visual is probably great because I come from a distant land and not know much about cuphead but the art style kind of reminds me of Disney Mikey Mouse to be fair, btw I knew Mikey not from its animation or movie but from a Game called Kingdom Heart btw.
The sound is fine but I usually use earphones when playing game so I think it's good idea to toned it down a bit, but again that's just me, idk about others.
That's all I guess, if I write something wrong or missed something, let me know.
I liked it a lot, maybe a little complicated at first but it's fun :D
Great game, I like the idea of a spinning wheel deciding both the weapon you get to use against the bosses, and also the effects that occur during the boss fight! Good job on this!
I absolutely cannot get enough of performance stages as settings in video games and this just NAIILLSS that feel. Playing through this game felt like fighting through multiple acts of a play, it was such a vibrant joy to play through. Excellent work!
This one's interesting! Good use of theme, interactive way of playing. I think I could use more feedback when I hit the guy. Other than that, well done :)
woah amazing art style very fun game!!
Wow! The presentation and concept is so cool and innovative, and very polished in all aspects too! It's funny yet challenging, and it gives me the Cup Head vibe too! Great works!
i loved tha art style, nice work.. it was so fun
Your game has a really good style, it stands out among the others I've tested in this jam! I loved the art of the game and had a lot of fun. Congratulations on your game!
Very good, very fun
The music and sfx are very fitting and good at setting the mood. I like how you use effects to show health rather than a UI. I think the hand slap attack could use some more indicators, had no idea it was going to occur at first.
Randomness! randomness!! =D i liked throwing dynamite at it, the negative effects it rolled on the wheel didn't seem too bad but the laser hands got me =D
Awesome style! The hammer attack is a bit slow, but I assume that's part of the games balance. Great job.
Love the laugh tracks, makes it feel like such an enjoyable bizarre boss fight!
Super fun :) The boss is well-designed and it's easy to understand the attack patterns. I also really like the whole circus-theming behind the whole thing
