I managed to get to the fifth opponent on the beginner mode. Your game is extremely well presented and doing math like this is fun. I find it tricky dealing with negative numbers because my brain hasn't done that in such a long time but it was great to test myself. Having the attack and defence is a great mechanic especially as they were so different. It's also pretty cool having different opponents and the sounds are great!

The game feels really polished and is fun. Would be cool to see the answer to equation we dont get right. Great game!

Very well done! Now I have exam anxiety.

In all seriousness, this could be made in to a fun math learning app.

Cool concepts and brilliant execution. Hope you develop it further!

Even though it was difficult as hell to me(im dumb), I would love to recommend this to my freind

This game was a lot of fun and it's really nice and polished. I felt so dumb every time I couldn't figure out an equation to attack the enemy lol. I would've liked there to be some end to the game as it seemed like it just kept going forever, or maybe I quit too early I'm not sure. I also thought the defense portion of the game was a lot easier than the attack, so I could've kept going for as long as I wanted, I just failed attacks sometimes. Great work on this it's a very good entry!

I did not know a game about mathematics could be so exciting, I definitely felt a lot of pressure when attacking and trying to calculate all the possibilities in my head.

Very cool game, very polished.

This is an amazing entry. Very polished! I had fun doing math in my head, and that doesnt happen often.

Very interesting game and very different from any other submissions. I see the calculator as the main mechanic. I think it would had been great to have something else to complement it instead of using it in two different ways, but I agree that you are actually asking the player to exercise two mechanics in their head :)

This is a great game! Very highly polished, and fun! Made me realise that I am terrible at mental math lol.

Well done! You've definitely taken advantage of my ADHD and made me hyperfocus on math equations for far longer than any of my maths teachers ever could!
Let me tell you, this game drew me in straight away and I played for 30 minutes before I realised there is no end :')

Couple of points I noted:

  • Brilliant sound track, fits the theme of the game really well.
  • Feedback and response of clicking buttons was very satisfying.
  • The ability to roleplay as Kratos the Maths teacher, outstanding.

Great job!

Wow this was really addictive. I could feel my arithmetic skills actually improving as I played too, extremely well done!

Submitted(+1)

Good job! Really good way to improve my maths :)

What are the odds, we basically made the same game.  Only yours is definitely better than mine - way more polished.  Obviously, I loved what you did and gave you a perfect score.  Really fantastic game!

Oh, that's a pretty cool name you got there for your project! My original title was Mathemagician but it didn't gel well with the whole gladiator theme :D

Also really great that you did yours in Construct 3 too.  Graphically, yours is so much nicer - it really shows off what can be done in C3.  Very cool!

I detest maths yet i like this game, darn you! You made me enjoy math!! Just joking i really enjoy this game and the art looks amazing, reminds me off TTROCKSTARS

Darn you exposed my poor math skills. I really like how simple yet fun it can be to solve equations under pressure. Reminds me of the MiT Integration Bee except we are doing algebra and in a fight for glory!

This is so polished, it feels like a finished game. Great work! You should put it on one of those educational gaming platforms ASAP!

very polished game

Really nice execution, everything feels smooth.

Very fun, very polished game!

Agree, there should be more math games )))

(remind me about Calculords...)

Developer(+1)

I do remember Calculords! But my main inspiration was the math round they do on the British show called The Countdown.
