Great game! Really got to look for feedback on this one. Would be nice to see what the enemies got in score making it a bit more suspensefull. Also not sure but you can click the items youve picked? If its the case maybe binding it to u button instead of clicking on it would be smoother with the other controls.

Great fun and I love the art!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'll definitely keep the item score in mind!
And no, theres no way to click on the items. The ball UI just shows you whatever you last picked up.

Fun and polished Game!

Wow, what a delight. I love the stle of this game and how all the art really comes together. For some reason i really loved the representation of how long you had left being a wheel in the corner and it was cool to see the lighting change with it.

A tutotorial is always nice in a game jam game and was happy to see you had one. It was clear, simple and did the job.... and then i saw there was an interactive tutorial level too!? AMAZING! It also really helped to add more charm and character to add to the art style. The tutorial bugs throwing shade was a lot of fun and i think it demonstrated the concepts well.

Having a couple of differnt levels really showed of how the scenery can switch up the dynamics of the game. They both played differntly and offered a slightly new perspective. They were both lovely environments that really felt like it grounded everything and brought it together..... which is not something i was expecting to feel about cartoon dung beetles!

I was also really impressed by the AI.... although i cant tell if its really good, or im just kinda rubbish. Like others have said, i feel like this would make a really funny multiplayer game, but that is a bit of a crazy ask for a game jam.

Finally I also appreciated a full options menu, it was nice to be able to tweak things and really showed the extra effort you have gone to to polish the whole thing even in a game jam setting. Amazing job, well done!

Man, this is perfection! You need to continue this, I loved the idea

Ah, it was very fun ))) And challenging! The first level was pretty easy, but the second forced me to restart a couple of times )

Very cute beetles)

Really unique and interesting mechanics! There is a lot of game here and some really interesting systems, I'm not even sure how you implemented the collision for jumping it works really well and fits the shape of the ball. Wild.

Awesome job!

The style was the strongest in this one, but going by the tutorial I expected a story game instead of this PVE-type of arena rolling. Even the bubbles were there, it could've been. Sometimes the bots like to get stuck and do nothing, but in the larger map they at least tried to win.

Developer

Yeah I have ideas for a story, but for Round 1 I kept it limited to just arena battles.
If the game keeps progressing through the rounds, I expect it will change into something totally different!

The tutorial level is the greatest level in the game, I need a longer story campaing for this game (something metroidvanish maybe). Aesthetics, art and theme are all 10/10, one of my favorites by now. PVP is also a fun addition as a game mode.

Developer

Haha Im happy to hear it! I definitely have story plans for the game, but metroidvania is a first!
I'll keep it in mind.

Good use of shader aesthetically good design, I don't know why but I just keep smiling when I play it I guess it's been so long since I played a cute games like this, I'll be discovering more other genre of games because of this thanks for inspiring me.
everything works perfectly the rolling speed the hill push and sometimes the mushroom is op when climbing but I like it, the only complain I have is the camera controls other than that a solid entry 💪🫡

PEAK DUNG!!!, LOVE THE CARTOONY OUTLINE  SHADER!!! AND ALSO THE CARTOON LIGHTING MODE I LOVE PUSHING DUNG, full 5 starss!

The art style is amazing. I love how you made the tutorial level. The gameplay feels very smooth. I love how some items you roll over give you new abilities.

Submitted(+1)

Nice and cute game. It was fun to play and collect those items. Was a little confused how to correctly jump with umbrella, but then i figured it out, lol. Well done. I hope to see your game in next rounds!

Submitted(+1)

Good stuff. I really like how most items have abilities like bounce, slow and other fun things. Took the magnet and stood next to the others while they are fighting on the jump pad for some reason and dropping all their items. Would this strategy work in multiplayer? We well find out in the next round.
Epic game with cool vibrant aesthetic and fun gameplay. Good job!

This was fun, the art style was cool! Will be fun to play with friends and see who gets the largest dung.

First one played on stream!  And man, was it fun.

Love the art style.  That shader is just fantastic.

A touch more visual distinction on the oil would be nice.  Took me a few playthroughs to figure out what I was looking for.  Not really relevant this round, though, so I digress.

Katamari meets Risk of Rain?  This has a ton of the right elements for a great multiplayer game.  Would love to see you keep going with this.  Cheers!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!
Haha I hear you loud and clear on the oil. If I make it to round 2, first thing you will see is new and improved oil 🤣

I liked everything about this game and can see this as a fun party game or online multiplayer game. Very well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
Definitely, one of the first things I'm adding next is online multiplayer haha
