Simple idea and plays well... I died fairly quickly naturally but I'll give it another guy when I find more time. The visuals are oddly satisfying.

Charming game and idea. Love the feel and I think the simplicity of play goes a long way with the aesthetics. Definitely unique!

What an interesting idea! The art is very unique and captivating, and the audios fit the theme very well.

I found the progression curve a bit too steep at first, but I think that's part of the game's charm.

Congratulations on the game!

I thought this was a very entertaining, simple game! I was confused at the start, but generally figured out the rules quickly enough. Each entity had a nice, distinct rule to them and the beastiary was a cool addition!

Speaking of the beastiary, I think there’s a bug unlocking the white entity (was it called Bill?) I was caught by that guy a couple times before it’s mechanic clicked with me, but the beastiary entry never unlocked.

Another small mechanically thing that irked me a little was the plant entity. Mechanically it does what it says on the tin, but I felt that this entity should, maybe, give the player a very moments (half a second maybe?) after the bubbles appear in order to react. There were a couple times where I was just shy of clearing the plant, then I was dead the moment the bubbles started. Just a little (very tiny) grace period between the bubbles starting and them killing the player would reduce the frustration with it.

Over all, I really liked this game! Very well done! If you’re interested, I played this game on my stream the other day.

Thanks for playing it on stream!!! I wanna say there is already a half a second before he attacks now I now it needs like 0.7 or 0.8 seconds. And the bestiray problom i already fixed it but i am waiting until the voting ends to relese a post jam version.

I enjoyed the game a lot! the concept is interesting and the addition of the bestiary was amazing. The enemies were interesting and clear in what they expected you to do to pass them. I saw you had plans for a post jam version so good luck on that! On other topic it would be nice if the enemies were random.

Cool touch with different frozen poses. :>

I liked the art style, the game's presentation is very cohesive :)

Nice and simple concept. I like what you freeze in different poses. Btw, after unfreezing you can freeze yourself again only after moving. Was that intended?

Developer

yeah that was!

Cool game. I love the simple art style that really fits the tone of the game. Did take me a while to understand that you had to reverse back for the white enemy behind you. Congrats on your game!

Nice work!  There's practically nothing to complain about, love the art with all the fun poses, the tells are clear and I love love love the music!

I think it actually takes a better artist to accomplish something with this level of simplicity than super elaborate artstyles, and you totally pulled it off! Great job on the animations too!

The music is undertale-style cool, the graphics style minimalistic yet consistent, and you even included a "beastiary". Took me a few tries to figure out exactly when to change states, and was rewarded with what feels like a story. Keep up the good job!

interesting concept. I liked the inclusion of the bestiary that was a nice polish touch. I am really bad at judging the spore guys. I seem to always get hit by them as I was passing. No idea how far into the forest I was able to get but I never made it out. Art style was neat but I found the background a little hard to read but other wise it was cool.

Love the art the style!

Nice game, it is so satisfying to freeze yourself lol - the art is simple but is cool, very human!

I love love love the minimalistic artwork - the 2d doodle-like, monsters is such a vibe. I love the freeze mechanic - it looks like it makes a random shape, but I loved that touch. Really fun game, would be cool if I were rewarded for parries (or frame-perfect freezes).

Love it! This game gives me nostalgia for my childhood, reminding me of the cool flash games with similar art styles and simplicity I used to find on the Newgrounds website.

Impressed with the black and white graphics, everything is well discernable and good looking.
Nice freezing poses as well.

At least one typo in Steve’s description (buit -> built), and the intro text says unfreeze with ‘up’, which should be ‘down’.

Cool game. The artstyle is so unique and has its own sort of vibe to it. The gameplay was pretty simple but it works well. Great job!

It's a pretty simple idea, but it works well. The art is also simple but I found that it has its personality, the truth is in general it is quite fun, but I must say that the part of the enemy that remains on the ground is a little complicated to appear so soon. or perhaps giving the player a little more speed would have helped.

Great work!
